National Monument

Built to commemorate the memory of the soldiers who died fighting for Malaysia’s independence, the National Monument is believed to be the world’s tallest freestanding group of bronze sculptures. It was designed by the same architect who designed the United States Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington County, Virginia – Felix W. de Weldon.

The seven statues represent leadership, unity, vigilance, strength, courage, sacrifice, and suffering.
