I pass by this building every day on the way to and from work. Was on the escalator up when I noticed the reflection of the clouds on the building and knew that I could not pass up the opportunity to photograph this so I backtracked and made a couple of shots. So glad that I did. The clouds look like they’re passing through the building and I’m very happy with this image – made my day. 😊
NOTE TO SELF
Architectural photography tips:
- Shoot in a variety of weather conditions and times of day.
- Be sensitive to the direction of light.
- Look for a unique angle.
- Reflections add an extra dimension that allows the building to be playfully distorted.
- Position yourself as near to the base of the building as possible and shoot straight up.
